The First Age of Noliterre
Hello young fellow, I suppose your here to here the ancient tale of the mythical First Age? Well it is still yet to be fully translated but the Camnvonian Scholars that found the scrolls have authorized us to tell the tale none the less.
Long ago the universe was empty then the Old Gods spoke and their words filled void with the world, not long after creating the world they created the First Life, and soon trees and plants covered the world. Then they created the first beasts and animals. Then they created their greatest creation of all time...the four Elder Races, first the Elves who were fair and wise, then the Dwarves who were stout and intelligent then they created the Orcs strong and brave...lastly they created man. Man was different though for he had no gifts except his extraordinary will, it was left up to each individual man to decide what his fate would become...it was this trait that earned man their title as protectors and rulers of the World. It was then the First Imperium of Man was created and Men ruled over the earth and brought order and justice to the unruly natural world. The early years of the Imperium of Man were very peaceful and a happy time to live...but this would not last.
The Old Gods seeing their work as done went to sleep, the creation of the universe had taken its toll on them...yet one remained awake. The youngest of the Old Gods now looked down on creation and craved what he saw...it was theirs and yet they refused to claim it...what was wrong with his brothers and sisters can't they see that it is their destiny to rule this world? Eventually these thoughts took control and he left the heavens to claim what was his. He first interaction was with the Dwarves, when he fell from the heavens, (according to legend), he first landed in the Great Dwarven Lord La'Morbads Hall...it was here he created the first Goblins...corrupting their minds and turning their skin foul they became his first soldiers...only one of the Dwarves from the Great Hall were able to get away...but this was all part of his plan.
The Great Elven Warrior Darius leader of the Leaf Clan and commander of the Second Imperial Legion was the first to find the panicked survivor, after hearing his tale he immediately went before the Council of Elders who ruled over the Elves. After a quick vote it was decided that they could waste no time in delaying a defense, word was sent to the Emperor of the Imperium and Darius set out with his Army. Unfortunately no account of the battle ever was written, (to our knowledge,) all we know Darius was the only survivor of his Legion. When he returned reports that the Hall had been liberated had already reached the Imperium...success! The Battle had been won and the entire Goblin Force had been killed. But something was amiss...Darius was different...his eyes no longer danced with joy and lit up with laughter...they were sunken and yellow...Darius himself didn't attend the festival thrown in his honor. It was not until the bodies of the legions dead troops were inspected did they realize that they were not killed by magic...nor goblin blades....but Elven. That night Darius struck killing thousands of his own kinsmen, his new powers gifted to him by the Fallen One helped him. The Elves of the Leaf Clan were all but butchered and were forced to flee. Darius had become the First Dark Lord, corrupted by the Fallen One.
To their credit the Imperium did not take long to respond to the threat, thousands of legions were sent South to confront the new evil but it was not enough, The Fallen on and Dark Lord Darius Dark Legions grew as they soon added Dark Elves to their ranks corrupting and increasing their ranks. The Fallen One even went as far as to create his own Dark Beings call Dark-Beasts or Demons to help them in the war. It took the lives of over eight hundred million Orcs, Elves, Dwarves and Humans but finally they managed to push back the Dark Duo. And eventually the Darkness collapsed, a young half Elf half Human by the name of Lysander challenged the Dark Lord Darius to single combat, the battle lasted hours but eventually the young Lysander realizing that there was no victory without his own death, sacrificed himself to kill the Dark Lord. It was this blow that gave the Imperium the strength it needed to push back the Darkness and exile it from the world forever...or so they thought.
It was after the first Great War that the Orc Rebellion began, the Orcs challenging the rule of the Humans and blaming the events of the First Great War on them. This conflict strained the Empire to the breaking point as the Orcs made up the majority of the Imperial Army...it was then the Darkness struck again attempting to deal the final blow. The Fallen One had gained a new apprentice a fifteen year old human farmer by the name of Philip, although he would become known as Malik. Malik became the Second Dark Lord and easily the most powerful going as far as to kill the Fallen One and absorb his powers. But at this point Malik was little more than a clever dark wizard. It was Malik who organized the Orc rebellions in the first place, doing so to weaken the Empire. Dark Malik managed to convince the majority of Orcs that their place lie not with the Humans but the Darkness. Using his new Orc Legions the Dark Lord pushed the Imperium back for his new Master who attacked from a different direction with his Goblins and Demons. It was during this time Malik created the first Werewolves and Vampires by twisting the minds of humans and turning them into creatures of the Darkness. After the War the First Vampires and Werewolves would live and retreat to secluded areas where they could hide from the wrath of the Old Gods. Finally the Darkness had won, the only resistance that lay in their path was the Imperiums capital, defended by a mere garrison of a million soldiers. Just as they came within sight of the city, Malik turned on his Master...the Fallen One not suspecting this treachery quickly fell to Maliks blade, his last words being "But I'm a God". The Dark Lord absorbed his Masters Powers and marched on the city with an army of Goblins, Orcs, Vampires, Trolls, Werewolves, Demons and more...then the Old Gods awoke. Seeing the destruction of their creation they went down to deal with what they assumed was a petty warlord...they couldn't have been more wrong, this one time farmer was more powerful than any had imagined. As soon as they landed Malik sensing their presence lashed out and killed several of the Old Gods. The Gods being just as surprised as the Fallen One were caught off guard and a fierce battle erupted. Overall it took the lives of twelve of the original nineteen Old Gods to suppress him and even then they failed to kill Malik, instead they were forced to tear his soul into pieces and scatter it across the world.
With Malik gone the Old Gods decided the best action would be to cover up the entire events of the First Age by destroying the world and starting anew. And so they did, it has been thousands of years since the First Age and their decedents The New Gods now watch over us. Man no longer rules the world as punishment for failing in his duties to protect it, the Orcs have lost their civilization as well, as punishment for siding with the Darkness. The creations of the Darkness still remain but they are yet to become as much a threat as they were in the First Age.
Thank you for listening to this tale, young one, I am finished and very tired...you may run along now.
