GIANT SPIDERS (Wepherans)Mainly found in mountainous and subterranean regions, although separate species are known to be found in forests. Mountainous and Subterranean Giant Spiders are known to be Jet Black in color, while forest species are known to have greenish, brown stripes. The average spider can range about 12-15 ft tall, with a 5ft leg span. Queens are known to grow as large as 25ft, with a leg span of 10 ft. Their weapons are mainly their poisonous mandibles, and gigantic webs. Although hard, it is possible to tame such beasts. Savage Orcs have been reported to breed and train these beasts for their own uses. Their poison is very venomous, and the spiders use different dosages for different outcomes. Small doses will paralyze their prey, while a large does will liquefy the insides of their prey allowing them do suck the internal organs of their prey out with ease. The Spiders have a hive mindset and without the Queen a Queen die within two to four weeks. The Queen itself once established in a layer can lay thousands of eggs infesting any nearby area within a week after her arrival. Needless to say these Monsters are very common and kings are forced to keep either a standing army or a professional Ranger Force to keep local Spider Populations in line. Despite their horrid nature some speculate that they are capable of sentient thinking. The Oldest Spider known to Noliterre Ricktash the Web Queen,(killed only 50 years ago by a famous unknown hero) was said to have been able to communicate telepathically, and have conversations with her prey. However these reports are still very grey and it is unknown how much of this is fact and how much of it is local village legend.
